First Presbyterian Flint & Waldenwoods Wedding

Have I EVER got a gorgeous wedding feature for you this evening! When I first met with Siobhan and Jason, both creatives with a very specific wedding day vision, I knew their wedding was going to be very special and particularly visually pleasing. I was not disappointed! You may remember these two from their two engagement sessions (a Detroit one for Jason’s style and a Bohemian one for Siobhan’s style, seen here and here). Siobhan literally brought out the mist in my eyes when I saw her in her super unique Essense of Australia dress, from the amazing Bombshell Bridal! She described it as “whimsical, romantic, edgy and statement making” and it sure was. And that headpiece? Fabulous! I’ve never seen a bride rock that and I thought it was so cool Siobhan did. Their big day, which they described as having a “rustic chic theme" with a feel of "the city comes to the country”, was filled with so much beauty. Jason said, “We thought taking the dark woods and country surroundings and adding in ornate and modern classy elements (gold, black and white stripe and ornate framing) were a great combination.” I agree. You just have to see the blog post to fully appreciate the amazing colors, detail, and scenery of the day! A few of my favorite things? The beautiful invitations, Siobhan’s unique wedding band, Jason’s emotional reaction to his stunning bride as she walked down the aisle to him at First Presbyterian Flint, Siobhan’s secret bestie handshake with her MOH moments after she and Jason sealed the deal with a kiss, how close Siobhan is with her dad and her Hawaiian heritage (loved the ‘ohana meaning they put on their invitations!), the cake (oh, that cake!), the stripes, and, oh man, I could go on. Just check it out yourself. Congratulations again, Jason and Siobhan! Thanks for bringing me along on this special journey. I hope you love my favorites as well. xoxo Ceremony venue: First Presbyterian Flint | Reception venue: Waldenwoods | Photography: Kate Saler Photography | Hair & makeup: Brides Maid Beautiful, Briana Warrington | Siobhan’s dress: Essense of Australia, Bombshell Bridal | Siobhan’s headpiece: Bombshell Bridal | Bridesmaid dress: Sorella Vita, Bombshell Bridal | Groom: Men’s Warehouse | Cake: Cakebox, Melanie | Flowers: Ruby Slippers, Sandra | DJ/PB: DJ Crashers, Saxon | Invitation graphic design: groom, Jason Hynes| Videographer: Daryl Bean | Contact Kate Saler Photography HERE
