A Townsend Hotel Birmingham Wedding
I have so been looking forward to sharing my newest wedding feature with you this Friday afternoon! If you are a romance-hearted person like me, you are going to get all googley eyed over this dreamy wedding, guaranteed! Aaron and Katherine had a positively stunning wedding at the Townsend Hotel in September. You may recognize this gorgeous couple from their stylish Cranbrook and Birmingham engagement session last May. When I arrived on the big day, Katherine had on her beautiful white lacey BHLDN robe and her hair and makeup were PERFECT. Her beautiful bridesmaids had on really cute floral gowns, too. Love it! Once her mom helped her in her gown, Katherine was breathtaking in her unique Pnina Tornai Couture gown and with her Dawn Owen Designs bouquet, while Aaron looked extra dapper in his custom tuxedo (check out the texture!) and bowtie. Wait until you see Katherine’s shoes and her awesome train! The pair shared a first look offsite at Quarton Lake, then we headed back to the Townsend for the rest of their photos. Aaron and Katherine had a beautiful ketubah ceremony then tied the knot in front of their closest family and friends in a gorgeous ceremony under the most lovely chuppah, which was just dripping in roses and moss. The reception was gasp-worthy and, I have to say, one of the most beautiful weddings I have had the pleasure of photographing to date. Dee Dee Hoffman Party Designs and Dawn Owen Designs really outdid themselves with the unbelievably romantic and rosy reception. Even the Sweet Heather Anne cake was dazzling! I absolutely loved the unique designs on each of the four tiers. It was seriously a piece of art. I also thought it was wonderful how the dream team from DDHPD converted the chuppah and ceremony area in the Townsend lobby to a relaxing area guests could go to with comfortable chairs and benches if they needed a break from the rocking party or if they wanted some photos by the chuppah! After a first dance and super fun hora dance, guests enjoyed a delicious dinner and sweet table courtesy of the Townsend Bakery before dancing the night away to the Dan Rafferty Band. Those guys are so talented and they know how to get- and keep- a Detroit party going! What a fun night! I’m so glad I go to be a part of such a gorgeous and special day. Katherine and Aaron, thank you for choosing me to capture your wedding day and I wish you all the best. You have been a pleasure to work with. I hope you all enjoy seeing many of my favorites! Have a fabulous weekend!
