Taz & Rachel's Charlevoix Castle Farms Wedding

Taz and Rachel were wed at the stunning and historic Castle Farms in Charlevoix, Michigan a couple of weeks back. You may remember them from their engagement photos. It was great to explore this new (to me) venue with such a gorgeous couple! I'm so excited to share a few favorites. Congratulations, you two!

Jon & Emily's University of Chicago Engagement Photos

Emily and Jon are my other amazing couple I got to photograph recently in Chicago. This loving and outdoorsy pair met and fell in love 5 years ago while studying at the University of Chicago, so the stunning ivy-covered campus made for a perfect engagement photo setting. Emily and Jon also showed me another spot they've enjoyed over the years, Promontory Point. According to Emily, when Jon was wooing her early in their relationship, they used to bike down to that area. On one bike. With Emily sitting and Jon standing. She later found out that unbeknownst to her, Jon's calves were actually killing him on all the hills, but he didn't want her to know that. I love it! Emily was certainly worth it. Congratulations on your engagement, Emily and Jon! I'm so excited to photograph your wedding at Waldenwoods in a few short weeks!

Kelly & Matt's Vintage Fenton Engagement Session

I loved photographing these darling sweethearts recently in downtown Fenton and out at Spicer's Orchard. Kelly and Matt are so incredibly in love! They are both into all things vintage and romantic, so that was super fun to incorporate into our shoot. I am so excited to photograph their wedding in 2 short months up in Petoskey. In the meantime, enjoy a few of my favorites from their sweet engagement session. Congratulations on your engagement, Matt and Kelly, and I look forward to photographing your big day as well!

Mark & Katie's Chicago Engagement Session

Katie and Mark met 5 years ago when Katie walked into the shoe store Mark worked at to buy some running shoes. Mark left his number on her receipt and needless to say, the two hit it off! Both are from Michigan but live in Chicago and the two will be wed this July in Grand Rapids (can't wait!). They asked me to come to Chicago to capture their engagement session and what a treat it was. They showed me around several parts of Chicago, including North Avenue Beach, Michigan Avenue, the Chicago River, Fourth Presbyterian Church, and even Molly's Cupcakes! I had never been to Chicago for any extended time and certainly hadn't had the pleasure of photographing there yet. I thank God for safe travels on my drive, amazing clients like Katie and Mark, and the fun opportunity to do photos in a whole new city. Be sure to keep an eye out for their wedding photos! Congratulations, Katie and Mark! Can't wait to photograph your big day in just a few weeks!
