Nicole & Mike are married!
Mike and Nicole are such a fun laid back couple, so it was really a blast to be a part of their big day. Nicole wore a flowing BHLDN dress with a sparkly sash and added a pop of color with her bold Louboutin stilettos. The bride's romantic hair was done by Colleen Kidd from Red The Salon and her makeup was done by Jesse Nemer from Todd's Room. The couple celebrated their day surrounded by their many friends and family members, first at 1st United Methodist in Birmingham and then at the relaxed reception at Nicole's father's home just down the road. Nicole and her friends had such a cute idea for the place cards- to hang each of them on a clothesline with a different little plant for an earthy and summery twist on the typical card display. 2Unique catered the amazing food guests enjoyed and DJ Marisa Sbrocca kept the party going all night with great music. Guests enjoyed late night treats from Meadowbrook Icecream in addition to mini cupcakes from Pink Elephant Cupcakes! Mike and some of the couple's friends worked to create the beautiful birch candle holders dotting each table as well as the cupcake towers! The candle holders, which doubled as a party favor, added a romantic ambiance as the sun went down. Mike even hand made the little wooden ring box! Enjoy my favorites from Nicole and Mike's beautiful day!

Suzi & Justin- Engaged!
Boy, have I been looking forward to this one! Suzi and I excitedly emailed for months about her gorgeous Americana inspired engagement session. We decided on a couple of their favorite spots in downtown Clarkston. My gorgeous sweetheart bride-to-be wore 2 stunning dresses and had her hair and make-up done by Marlana Martin to go with the theme. I love these vintage Diet Pepsi bottles! We took photos at one of the couple's favorite restaurants, Union Woodshop. This unique and bustling restaurant was just featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives (episode airs in August) and was voted Restaurant of the Year by The Detroit Free Press in 2011. Check out those amazing blue circular booths! Love them! We stopped over at The Union General Cupcakery and Boutique for a decadent cupcake and then walked to a lovely park right near downtown Clarkston. I could not be more excited to share these favorites with you. I simply cannot wait to photograph Suzi and Justin's September wedding!
